Just so you know, despite having advanced degrees in finance and investments from some well known higher education institutions, we are not overly employable in this field.  Why is that?  Well we do not work as portfolio managers, we are not registered investment advisors, and we simply do not work in the stock brokerage industry.  However we do have over 25 years (each) of experience in managing portfolios, doing equity analysis, making long term investments and placing short term trades (successfully I might add)!   Also we do not domicile in a large financial metropolis any longer nor do we desire to.  In general we are not thrilled about the personal finacial services industry.  You see, we feel very few advisors have the time, intention, or expertise to direct our investments as if their were their own.  They can’t, it is sales and numbers game.  So personally speaking at this point of our lives with plenty of practical investing experience, should we be willing to work for another investment advisor company at an entry-level salary?   Why would we when we can make the same salary in a few month’s time implementing the same methods of this service?   So what is our motivation for this service?  Here it is…..

Short Term:

  1. To share our own industry experience as a stock picker and investor.
  2. To continue to sharpen our skills in front of an audience.
  3. To work with a select few willing to benefit from a capitalistic system.
  4. To offer freedom from the typical 12-14 hour work day.

Medium Term:

  1. Business ownership and associated benefits.
  2. Financial diversification.
  3. Sharing in other’s success stories.

Long Term:

  1. Personal satisfaction.
  2. Better health and family life doing what we love.
  3. To become an authority at what we do, building wealth one strategic trade at a time.
